High school basketball: Illness forces Cougars’ cancelations

WALLOWA — A rash of illness sweeping through the Wallowa schools has forced the upcoming weekend games to be called off.

Wallowa school officials announced Thursday, Dec. 15, boys’ basketball games against Nixyaawii (Dec. 16) and Echo (Dec. 17) have been canceled. Both games were nonleague and no makeup game schedules were announced.

The same two teams were scheduled for the girls and these also are canceled with no makeup announced.
