High school girls basketball: Huskies Pick Up nonleague win over Joseph

ELGIN — Elgin improved to 2-3 on the season, following a 35-23 victory over Joseph on Tuesday, Dec. 13, in Elgin. The matchup pitted two 1A Old Oregon League opponents against each other in a nonleague game.

The Huskies will have a long weekend of basketball action beginning Dec. 15 as Elgin joins a host of other teams at the Union Bobcat Classic. The Huskies open the tournament on the court against Powder Valley (2-3 overall) with a 6 p.m. start time.

Joseph (0-7 overall) is also in action on Dec. 15, hosting Dayville/Monument (1-4 overall) for a 5:45 p.m. game.
