James Ray Kellermann lost his courageous battle with cancer at the Veterans Medical Center in Boise, Idaho, with his son Heath at his side.
Jim was born in Enterprise, the third of six children of William R. “Bill” and Louise Vigne Kellermann.
He spent his childhood on the family farm on Prairie Creek east of Joseph. He attended school in Joseph, graduating in 1964.
He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1965 and honorably discharged in 1967. He was a Vietnam War Veteran and was awarded a Letter of Commendation while serving with the Army Strategic Communications Facility in Vietnam.
Jim spent his life working on ranches in Wallowa County and Mountain Home, Idaho, as well as years working in the timber industry as a heavy equipment operator.
He resided in Mountain Home at the time of his death where he worked for the late Rich Cornell of the Camas Cattle Co.
Jim is survived by his son, Heath Kellermann and his three grandchildren; Aspen Elizabeth, Elia Charlotte and James Robert Kellermann, of Sandy, Ore.; his brother Ron (Debbie) of Joseph; sisters Marie Wearin, Sharon (Paul) Castilleja and Margaret (Dave) Kassahn, all of Joseph; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Louise Kellermann, and his brother William A. Kellermann.
Funeral services to be held in Enterprise are pending.
