Agnes Sallee

Agnes Ione Sallee, 85, of Lebanon died of complications related to a stroke on Thursday October 21, 2004 at the Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.

Agnes was born July 19, 1919 in Wallowa, the daughter of Charles and Stella (Williams) Hook.

She lived throughout her childhood in the Wallowa area where she attended schooling. In the 1930’s, she moved with her family to Portland, then on to Pendleton in 1947 where she resided until 1996. She moved to Lebanon, in 1996 where she has resided until her death.

Agnes was married to Doy E. Sallee in Vancouver, Wash. on May 6, 1938. She was preceded in death by Doy in 1986. A sister Beanette Foster also preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, Sherman Sallee of Lebanon, a daughter, Sharon Simmons of Anacortes, Wash., four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Services were held in Lebanon on Oct. 25. A memorial will be held in Pendleton at a later time.
