Holiday Bus on its way

The 11th annual Holiday Shopping Bus Tour is getting ready to roll from La Grande with a load full of shoppers to Wallowa County.
The tour is set for Saturday, Dec. 5, and will depart from the La Grande Town Center at 8 a.m., with pick-up stops at the Imbler Post Office at 8:15 am and Elgin Community Bank at 8:30 a.m.

The bus, transformed into a Holiday Sleigh for the day, will bring out-of-town visitors for a very festive day in Wallowa County for both Winterfest in Enterprise and a Jingle thru Joseph Saturday in Joseph.
The bus has been organized by Enterprise businesswoman Sondra Lozier for over a decade, and supported by numerous county businesses. .
The first stop will be in historic Enterprise, where sponsoring shops will be all decked out for the season. After spending the morning browsing and shopping in Enterprise, the shoppers will ride the bus sleigh to Joseph, where shopkeepers will continue the warm welcome.
Before each stop, there will be drawings aboard for gift certificates to be used at businesses who are sponsoring the bus. They will be easily identified by a “Welcome Holiday Bus Tour Shoppers” sign in their window.
The bus will depart from Joseph just in time for everyone to be able to enjoy the Enterprise Winterfest Lights Parade before returning home to Union County.
The ticket for the one-day round trip Holiday Sleigh between Union and Wallowa counties is $14 per person. Riders may reserve their seat by calling Sondra Lozier at 541-426-3271 or 888-323-3271.
