EHS students recognized for academic excellence

Enterprise High School students were recognized for a year’s worth of achievement at the annual awards program in May.
Among top honorees were winners of the the Outstanding Boy and Girl awards in all four high school classes. They were: freshman, Duncan Christman and Brooke Greenshields; sophomore, Kyle Stangel Alexandra McCadden; junior, Tylor Edison and Joscelyn Stangel; and senior, Patrick Baird and Jean Morello.
Josh Perren and Dakota Hull earned the Most Improved Student awards.
Winners of the annual Walt Buckley Scholar-Athlete Award are Tricia O’Leary and Trenton Neil.
Student of Merit Awards were presented to the following students: language arts, Karla Wilsey; math, Christopher Stauffer; foreign language, Tonya Neil; science, Tyler Warner; home economics, Wade Morton; fine arts, visual, Tina Hawley; fine arts, performing, Nikki Terrill; social science, Christopher Stauffer; computer science, Kylie Quinby; industrial arts/vocational agriculture, Matt Fisher; and health/physical education, Gage Nebel.
During the program, the following new members were inducted into the EHS chapter of National Honor Society: Alexandra McCadden, Chris Stauffer, Kyle Stangel, Tylor Edison, Hannah Graham, Kasey Lathrop, Miranda Robbins and Summer Despain.
EHS teachers singled out the students who excelled in their subject areas during the 2009-10 school year. Outstanding student awards were awarded as follows:
Math – Algebra I, Casey Marino; four-year math students, Tonya Neil and Jean Morello.
Vocational – industrial arts, Matt Fisher; agri-science, Sara Butterfield.
Visual Art – most outstanding artist, Ethan Osterloh.
Physical Education – freshman boy, Casey Marino; girl, Silje Christoffersen.
Yearbook – excellence in yearbook design, Andrea Schaefer.
Social Studies – Global Studies I, first semester, Brook Greenshields; second semester, Silje Christoffersen; Modern Problems, Andrea Schaefer and Grace Donovan; U.S. history, Hannah Graham and Alexandra McCadden; Civics, first semester
English – excellence in AP literature and composition, Andrea Schaefer; excellence in writing, Literature 9 Kaitlyn Edison and Silje Christoffersen; Literature 11/12, Jenna Harbeck.
