Practice made perfect.

In the fifth track-and-field meet this season, the Pepsi Invitational, April 23 in Union Caleb Bright, who is a junior from Joseph High School, made his best discus throw ever. His distance, 115 feet and seven inches, ranked third. It also beat his previous personal record by almost eight feet.

A handful of teammates joined Bright in achieving their best scores. Sophomore Lucas Staigle set the mark in two events. He vaulted up to 11 feet and ran a lap, or 400 meters, in 1 minute and 1.34 seconds.

Meanwhile, sophomore Rebecca Cummins posted her best mark for the girls in two events: the javelin and 100-meter dash. Teammate Jade DeLury ran her fastest 400.
