Wilson, Ruf exchange vows

<p>Rocky Wilson, of Wallowa, and Megan Ruf, of Deer Park, Wash., were married May 11 at the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture, in Joseph. Rocky works at the Chieftain and Megan is settling in as a housewife in the couple's new home, in Wallowa.</p>

On May 11, 2013, Rocky Wilson, of Wallowa, and Megan Ruf, of Deer Park, Wash., were married at the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture in Joseph.

Officiating the ceremony was Kirkland Utter of Seattle.

Rocky is the son of Don Wilson, of Wallowa, and Megan the daughter of Joan McGillivray, of Deer Park; both of whom were in attendance.

Attendants to the groom were best man Tom Nishi, of Oakland, Calif.; Rockys son, Christopher Williams, of Spokane; and Scott McCrae, of Tigard.

Maid of honor for the bride was Tracy Langford, of Spokane, (who sang Like Incense,); Barb McGee, of Spokane; and Cyndie Diggins, of Wallowa.

Assisting in the ceremony were Pastor Wayne Haas, of Nyssa; Michael Diggins, of Wallowa; and Utters Black Labrador, Denzel.

The bride was given away by her oldest brother, Don McGillivray of Everett, Wash.

An estimated 85 attended the ceremony that was followed by a large presentation of food dishes.

Highlights for Megan were that all three of her older brothers, each from the Seattle area, were able to attend. Special to Rocky was a surprise visit from a college friend and his wife whom Rocky had not seen for more than 40 years.
