Commissioners to hear recycling update Wednesday

The Wallowa County Board of Commissioners will consider a contract for work at the fairgrounds during an emergency meeting Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025, at the courthouse in Enterprise.

ENTERPRISE — Peter Ferre of the Friends of Wallowa County Recycling will give a third-quarter update on recycling in the county when the Wallowa County Board of Commissioners meets Wednesday, Oct.16.

After Ferre’s presentation, the agenda consists of a list of fairly routine items.

The commissioners will consider an intergovernmental agreement with Harney County for the Wallowa County Building Codes Department.

The commissioners also are expected to approve three intrafund transfers, one for the Wallowa County Fair and two for the county Road Department.

Also on the agenda are four easements. Josh Johnson has requested one under Wallowa Mountain Road for a water line. Michelle Beeman of Ziply Fiber has requested three easements under Hurricane Creek Road near Joseph for aerial and underground lines and pedestals.
