Outlaw boys, girls both draw TigerScots in tourney’s first round

PENDLETON — The Enterprise Outlaws basketball teams open the 2A Blue Mountain Conference Tournament in Pendleton on Friday, Feb. 16 with games against the same school: the Weston-McEwen TigerScots.
Exactly one week after falling to the TigerScots in a closely contested 50-47 game, the Outlaw boys will take to the court at the Pendleton Convention Center at 7:45 p.m. Friday.

The game will be the third time this season that the Outlaws have faced the TigerScots. Weston-McEwen rolled Enterprise in the first meeting, winning 64-37. The second meeting, played in the Weston-McEwen gym on Feb. 9, proved to be much closer, with the Outlaws losing by a three-point margin.
Enterprise ended the regular season fifth in the conference standings with a 13-10 overall record including a 3-7 conference showing. Weston-McEwen, fourth in the conference standings, played to a 10-14 overall record and a 5-5 conference showing.
Outlaw girls
After playing to a third-place regular season finish, the Enterprise girls’ basketball team hits the road on Friday, Feb. 16 to the Pendleton Convention Center for the 2A Blue Mountain Conference tournament.
Coach Dan Butterfield and the Outlaws open the tournament on Friday, Feb. 16 with a 1 p.m. game versus Weston-McEwen.
The Lady TigerScots ended the regular season tied atop the conference with Stanfield as both teams posted 8-2 conference records.

Enterprise and the TigerScots met twice during the season with the TigerScots taking wins in both games.
A Jan. 29 matchup ended with Weston-McEwen eking out a 41-40 victory. The TigerScots won the Feb. 9 rematch, 48-43.
Tickets for the conference tournament are $8 for adults and $5 for students for one game. A day pass is $15 for adults and $8 for students.
