Softball: Outlaws drop two games to district-leading Hilanders

BURNS — Wallowa County’s bats went cold in a double-header on Monday, April 15 as the Outlaws dropped both games against the district-leading Hilanders.
In the first game, Burns/Crane pitcher Ayla Davies fired a shutout in the Hilanders’ 4-0 victory.

The Outlaws did score in the second game, but fell by a 9-1 score.
Even with the two losses, the Outlaws maintain a top 10 showing in the state rankings, currently holding down 10th.
The Outlaws (7-5 overall, 1-3 3A Special District 4) head home for a 4 p.m. game on Thursday, April 18 at Enterprise High School against another tough foe: the 2A Weston-McEwen/Griswold TigerScots. The undefeated TigerScots (8-0 overall), are ranked second in the 2A/1A poll.
