County has 11 new COVID-19 cases

ENTERPRISE — The Oregon Health Authority reported 11 new cases of COVID-19 in Wallowa County on Wednesday, Sept. 29, and two new cases on Sept. 28, which moves the overall total during the pandemic to 571.
For the month of September, there have been 152 cases and, since the start of August, there have been 332 cases. There have been no new deaths reported, with that number staying at 12.
The county’s overall infection rate, which had been among the lowest in the state for much of the pandemic, has moved up during the past two months, and is now in the middle at 19th with a rate of 7.97%.
Hospitalizations for COVID-19 statewide dropped to 811, and the number of ICU patients dropped to 235. In Region 9, there were 28 patients in the hospital due to COVID-19.
