Boys basketball: Cougars stretch winning streak to four

HELIX — The Wallowa boys basketball team prepares to kick off the 1A Old Oregon League season on a four-game winning streak.

The most recent victory came at Griswold High School as the Cougars cruised to a 44-28 win over the Grizzlies on Friday, Dec. 29.

The win came on the heels of a perfect 2-0 showing by Wallowa at the Eastern Oregon Holiday Crossover.

The Cougars opened the Crossover on Wednesday, Dec. 27, with a 48-36 win over Harper Charter and followed up with a 44-36 win over Elgin on Thursday, Dec. 28. 

Team and individual statistics for the Griswold game were not made available.

Wallowa (5-8 overall) hosts Joseph (3-8 overall) at 7:30 p.m. in the Cougar gym on Thursday, Jan. 4, the league opener for both teams.
