Wrestling: Eagles place 20th in Culver meet

CULVER — The Joseph wrestling team finished with a 20th-place showing at the recently completed Culver Invitational, concluding action on Saturday, Dec. 9 at Culver High School.

The team from Illinois Valley grabbed the team title with 217 points, followed by La Pine in second and Mazama taking third. Joseph, with 11 points, tied with Umatilla for 20th.

Wrestling at 132 pounds, Jayden McNall ended the tournament with a 2-2 showing.

Dylan Rogers fared better, finishing 4-2 for the day at 138 pounds.

Austin Schultz dropped both his matches in Culver at 144 pounds.

The Eagles are next in action beginning on Friday, Dec. 15 at the Elgin Memorial Classic, a two-day event.
