Enterprise basketball teams win one, lose one at Bobcat

UNION — The day proved to be mixed as the basketball teams of Enterprise opened play at the Bobcat Classic in Union on Thursday, Dec. 14.
The Outlaw girls pulled out a classic 49-48 victory over Union with Kimber Stein standing on the free-throw line, score tied and no time on the game clock. Hitting the shot, Stein propelled Enterprise to the win to start the tournament 1-0.
The Enterprise girls will meet Elgin at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15.
The Outlaw boys opened the tournament facing the unbeaten host team of Union. The game was close early, but Union pulled away in the second half to down Enterprise, 72-58, handing the 7-1 Outlaws their first loss of the year.
Sophomore Kason Mitchell had a big day for Enterprise in the loss with 25 points.
The Outlaw boys will look to even up their tournament with a game versus Elgin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15.
