Basketball: Enterprise, Wallowa hoopsters set for Cove tourney

COVE — Basketball teams from both Enterprise and Wallowa will join a host of other teams beginning Friday, Dec. 1 to hit the court for the Mount Fanny Classic at Cove High School.

Enterprise will be represented by both varsity and junior varsity for boys and girls. The Outlaw girls’ junior varsity starts the tournament off with a 9 a.m. game on Friday versus Pine Eagle.

The junior varsity boys will take the court next starting at 10:30 a.m., also against Pine Eagle.

Enterprise girls’ varsity team starts its tournament off with a game against Pilot Rock at noon. Also facing the Rockets, boys’ varsity hits the court at 1:30 p.m.

The Wallowa girls get their first taste of action starting at 3 p.m. with Prairie City as their opponent. The Cougar boys will also play the Panthers with their game starting at 4:30 p.m.

The Cougar girls will be up early on Saturday as Wallowa faces Elkton with an 8:30 a.m. start. The Wallowa boys will also take on Elkton with that game slated for a 10 a.m. start.

The varsity girls of Enterprise are on the court on Saturday with an 11:30 a.m. game versus the Jordan Valley Mustangs. The Outlaw boys also face Jordan Valley, with that game slated for a 1 p.m. tipoff.

The admission fee for the tournament if $5 for the day. Concessions will also be available at Cove High School.
