ENTERPRISE — The Enterprise City Council at its meeting Monday evening, March 9.considers another draft ordinance to annex about 24 acres on the west side of Enterprise contiguous with the city’s urban growth boundary.

The annexation would allow for construction of apartments pending a conditional use permit and the installation of utilities. Last month, the council tabled the matter to check with the city planning commission to follow proper procedures.

Some residents oppose the annexation and construction of the apartment complex out of concerns about more traffic in the area and for other reasons.

The council also will update the city code to allow and regulate accessory dwelling units.

The council meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at city hall, 102 E. North St., and is open to the public. For information on attending the meeting virtually and to see the fill meeting agenda, click here.
