ENTERPRISE — Ordinances and budgetary matters will be the focus of the Enterprise City Council when it meets April 21 at city hall.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at 102 E. North St. The public is welcome to attend in person or via Zoom at tinyurl.com/EntCncl421. The meeting ID is 830 6463 4690 and the passcode is 302014.

The council will hear the second reading of an ordinance approving a change recommended by the city planning commission to change the outright allowable height of fences from 4½ feet to 6 feet. If the council approves, it can be voted upon Monday.

The council also will consider a recommendation for a Community, Economic, Tourism-related Activities grant (CETRA). At press time, it was not known who would be applying for a CETRA grant. Those are recommended by the Motel Tax Committee and awarded by the council.

Also on the agenda is an ordinance to correct the specific setbacks under the Residential 3 (R-3) Zone. When it orginally was printed, it listed the rear boundary setback to 5 feet. City Administrator Lacey McQuead said all zones allow for a 20-foot setback for both front and rear of properties unless the property is a corner lot. This, too, is a second reading, so if approved the council may give its final approval.

Another resolution also is on the agenda to change city bank accounts from Community Bank — which is changing to Spokane Teacher’s Credit Union — to the Bank of Eastern Oregon.

The council also will:

• Consider an agreement with the Wallowa County Chamber of Commerce to support the regional Main Street coordinator position for Enterprise. The city has dedicated $10,000 annually (paid for by the motel tax fund) to support the position. Nathan Cheek was hired by the chamber as the coordinator for Enterprise.

• Hear a request from Christie Huston to appoint a member to the budget committee.

• Consider a request for an event permit for the second annual Northeast Oregon Bison and Seafood Festival.

• Set a budget committee meeting for May 7.

• Hear department reports.

• Set the date for the next council meeting for May 7.
