Enterprise FFA scores well at state

ENTERPRISE — Enterprise Future Farmers of America Chapter did well at the state convention March 20-23 at the Deschutes Fair and Expo Center in Redmond.

Owen Cunningham won first place with his art, and Krystal Beckman placed third, according to the club’s recent newsletter.

In the Cooperative Quiz, Owyhee Harguess placed second in the state. And in the Conduct of Chapter Meetings, the Enterprise team placed third in state.

The team consisted of Ella Hillock, Aspen Cameron, Channing Gover, Charlie Hunter, Caleb Taggert, Austin Butterfield, Kolton Butterfield and Keeli Von Slomski.

Enterprise had the most state degree recipients in Oregon. Receiving their degrees were Dawson Cudmore, Kylee Cunningham, Owen Cunningham, Kaylee Eaves, Jordyn Ellis, TyLee Evans, Vincent Finlayson, Ione Flynn, Daniel Follet, Isabella Guillory Nunez, Owyhee Harguess, Hunter Martin, Wyatt Nash, Gavyn Porch, James Royce, Henry Staigle, Ryder Tomasini, Gregory Vaugn and Kendall Wigen.

Dick Stangel was the recipient of an honorary state degree as one of the chapter’s and community’s biggest supporters.

Throughout the week leading up to the convention as well as during the time there, the chapter hosted two FFA members from Hope, Indiana, and in exchange four Enterprise members — Jojo Follet, Alisha Melville, Jordan Jennings, and Kylee Moore — went to Hope for the next part of the exchange.
