ENTERPRISE — The Young Americans, a national musical performing company, will return to Wallowa County for a three-day intensive workshop for local youths March 9-11, according to a press release.

The workshop teaches singing, dancing, acting and performance techniques. After the workshop, the group will lead a two-act show for the community to showcase their own talent in the first act and let the student participants share what they’ve learned in the second act.

The workshop is for students in grades 3-12. The two-hour show is appropriate for children 5 and older.

The workshop begins Sunday, March 9, at 3:30 p.m., and involves a full day Monday, March 10, requiring students to miss school. The show for the community is Tuesday, March 11, at 7 p.m.

All events take place at the Enterprise High School gym.

Tickets for the show are $12 for adults and $10 for students.

The Young Americans are based in the Los Angeles area, and are made up of college-age men and women from around the country.

Wallowa County is the first stop on the group’s spring tour, which will take them as far as New Hampshire.

The cost to participate is $100 per student.
