- A Star of Bethlehem and a manger remind parade attendees that Jesus is the reason for the season in this float from the Tenderfoot Christian Fellowship during the Jingle Thru Joseph parade Nov. 30, 2024.
JOSEPH — A good time — if a bit chilly — was had by parade attendees and participants who helped Joseph kick off the Christmas season Saturday, Nov. 30, with the annual Jingle Thru Joseph Parade.
Nancy Parmenter, of the Joseph Chamber of Commerce, said the 20-year-old event had 21 floats this year.

“We had more participation this year than we did last year,” she said.
The first-place winner was a float entered by Wallowa Mountain Properties, followed by Built by Brandt Construction in second and the Tenderfoot Christian Fellowship in third with its Nativity scene and sign proclaiming “Jesus is the Reason for the Season.”
Cash prizes were awarded to the winners.
Dennis and Mary Welch were on hand at the chamber office to give gifts and candy to kids wanting to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
“We just want to thank everyone for their participation,” Parmenter said.
