I want to take this opportunity to thank the people who helped me Saturday after I fell outside the Joseph Hardware store. I appreciate your kind words, offers of a ride home, help in getting up, getting to a chair, the water, and inquiries if I was all right. Aside from a chipped tooth, and a bad scrape on my nose, I am fine.

I don’t know who any of you are. If you live in Wallowa County, you, and people like you, are the reason I live here. If you are visiting our county, the community you come from is fortunate to have such caring and kind people living there.

Again, thank you all for your help, and this means you, Joe Rinehart, who let me use the hardware store’s chair for as long as I needed to and who made me laugh.
