JOSEPH — Artists are invited to apply by July 31 at 11:30 p.m. for the 42nd Wallowa Valley Arts Festival, happening in September at the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture in Joseph, according to a press release.

The festival will be Sept. 20-22 at the center, at 403 N. Main St. in Joseph. Acceptance emails will be sent Aug. 9-13. The entry fee is $35.

Painter Karen Bakke will judge the event. It will showcase a range of artistic media including sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, fiber arts, glass, jewelry and more.
