More than 20 exhibitors set up their booths for the 2023 edition of the Woodlands and Watersheds Festival at the Wallowa County Fairgrounds. The 2024 edition of the festival is scheduled for Friday.

ALPEN TRAIN RIDE: Departs from Elgin at 10 a.m. and returns at about 2 p.m. In cooperation with Oregon’s Alpenfest, this ride will feature Bavarian food and guest hosts in lederhosen. WALK WITH A DOC: 12:30-1:30 p.m. Meet outside in front of Wallowa Memorial Hospital, 601 Medical Parkway, Enterprise. Every Wednesday, Dr. Emily Sheahan will host a brief discussion on a health topic, and then the group will head out on the half-mile or so walking path that encircles the hospital campus.

CHIEF JOSEPH DAYS RANCH RODEO TRAIL RIDE AND DINNER: 2:30-6 p.m. Meet at the Harley Tucker Memorial Arena, 405 W. Wallowa Ave. in Joseph, for a 4-mile trip along the Wallowa Lake East Moraine Trail. Dinner follows at the Thunder Room; admission is $20 for adults, $10 for ages 5-10, with children 4 and under getting in for free. Participants in the trail ride get a $5 discount on dinner.
