ENTERPRISE — The second annual Bruce Eien Youth Football Camp will be held Monday-Wednesday, July 8-10 at the Enterprise High School football field.

Eien, who during 2021-22 was an assistant football coach at Enterprise — one year at the junior high level and one year at the high school — died in December 2022 at age 57. He had been undergoing treatment for a tumor on his pituitary gland at a Boise hospital.

He had a national reputation as an innovator in high school football as a longtime coach who drew up elaborate offensive schemes, shared them willingly and impacted the sport.

Josh Harman, head football coach for the Outlaws, said the camp in July is for kids who will be in grades 3-8 next year and want to get a taste of the sport. Students enrolled in schools outside of the Enterprise School District are welcome to attend.

Campers will need shoes (no cleats), shorts and a water bottle.

The noncontact camp will be run by the Enterprise High School coaching staff and players. It is sponsored by the Enterprise High School Football Boosters.

The camp runs from 6:30-7:45 p.m. each day. The registration deadline is Friday, June 21 and registrations can be completed online at: https://EHSYouthFBCamp.Cheddarup.com.
