Boys golf: Outlaws finish 10th at district meet

BAKER CITY — The members of the Enterprise boys golf team fired a collective 894 over two days of action, finishing 10th at the 3A/2A/1A Special District 4 championship in Baker City.

Playing at the Quail Ridge Golf Course, the Outlaws wrapped up action on Tuesday, May 7. Trinity Lutheran claimed the district title with a 767 total followed by Burns (779) and Vale in third (805). The top three teams advance to the state tournament.

Individually, the top Enterprise finish went to junior Nathan Lamb and his 201 total. Lamb fired a 103 on Monday and finished with a 98 on Tuesday.

Senior Caleb Sheahan closed out his high school career with a 23rd-place finish after posting a 208-stroke total.

Sophomore Gunner Sinclair placed 40th in the field after firing 225 over the two days. Finishing with a score of 260, sophomore Wyatt Nash placed 59th.

The Wallowa/Joseph boys team didn’t have enough players to qualify for a team score, but senior Owen Gorham finished 19th in the field with a 201 stroke total, shooting 103 on the first day and a 98 on the second.

Shooting 209, senior Jonas McKee finished 26th.

Senior William Clark finished the two days with a 227, placing 44th.
