The exhibit is about living in a time when conflict seems inevitable and achieving balance seems unlikely, from the smallest aspects of life to issues of major significance. The exhibition is inspired by Winter Fishtrap’s theme “Can We Talk?”
Music for the reception will be provided by Terri Hall and Laura Skovlin. Appetizers will be provided, as well as a cash bar.
The exhibit is curated and judged by Kristin Becker. She is an artist, teacher and mother living in Moscow, Idaho, and is the curator of education and programs at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art at Washington State University in Pullman.
She holds a master in fine arts degree in printmaking from Indiana University and a bachelor in fine arts degree in photography from Rhode Island School of Design. Her work has been exhibited at galleries throughout the United States, as well as at the International Print Center in New York.
Becker said her most substantial creative challenge is raising two young children, which she attempts with her husband, Devin.
