JOSEPH — Olan Fulfer, who teaches history and forestry at Joseph Charter School, recently has begun volunteering in far-off places on his school breaks.
On April 23, he will give a “Tuesday Talk” at the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture on his most recent adventure in India.

The talk will begin at noon. The center is at 403 Main St. in Joseph. It is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome.
Last year Fulfer spent time in Africa; during this spring break he and wife, Tessa, went to India.
“My journey to India was a beautiful, chaotic and unforgettable experience full of history and culture,” he said. “Through volunteering at a Sikh temple and in the slums of New Delhi with the Robin Hood Army charity, I got to experience the kindness and selflessness of the Indians we volunteered alongside — which left a lifelong impact on me.”
