Outlaw softball cracks top 10 in coaches’ poll

ENTERPRISE — Unranked in the minds of the state’s coaches last week, the Wallowa Valley combined softball team garnered enough votes this week to enter the top 10 of the 3A poll released by the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) on Wednesday, April 10.
The Outlaws were ranked ninth in the new coaches’ poll, tied with Harrisburg/Monroe.

Scio continues to hold down the top spot, as it did last week, but now the Loggers are tied with Burns/Crane in the voting. Yamhill-Carlton sits third with South Umpqua and Pleasant Hill rounding out the top five teams.
In the formal OSAA rankings, Wallowa Valley sits eighth among the 3A teams. The Outlaws (6-2 overall) open district action on Friday, April 12 with two games in Vale (10-5 overall, 2-1 3A Special District 4).
