Baseball: Eagles improve to 7-2 with a pair of wins

STANFIELD — Fans of the Wallowa County baseball have yet to see the Eagles on the home field. But even without playing a home game, the Eagles continue to win, posting two wins on Saturday, April 6 after a trip to Stanfield to meet up with the Tigers in a nonleague double-header.
The bats were busy for the Eagles in the first game as they downed Stanfield/Echo 23-6 in a game that was shortened to six innings because of the mercy rule.

The second game took only five innings as the Eagles downed the Tigers in a 13-3 victory.
The Eagles (7-2 overall) begin 3A Special District 3 play on Friday, April 12 with a trip to Vale for two games. The Vikings (2-7 overall, 2-0 3A Special District 3) opened their district season on Saturday, April 6 with two wins over Riverside.
Fans of the Eagles will see Riverside on April 26, in the first home game for the team.
