JOSEPH — Wallowa Plein Air Painters are invited to a preseason social Saturday, March 30 at 11 a.m. at the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture in Joseph.

The center is at 403 N. Main St. in Joseph.

As the center gears up for a full season of outdoor landscape painting, the social offers a chance to meet other artists and to plan the group’s first outing.

Tony Chiotti will do a short workshop on mixing a wide variety of greens from a limited palette, so there will be a chance to move some paint around.

Plus there will be a bit of show-and-tell. Artists are urged to bring their outdoor setup: easel, prochade box, umbrellas — whatever they like to work with. It’s a chance to talk a little shop and learn some new ideas about working outdoors. 

The free event has materials and refreshments provided.
