Boys basketball: Outlaws land all-league honors

- Basketball is the leading cause of youth sports injuries, according to a new study from Johns Hopkins University.
ENTERPRISE — An Outlaw basketball player in just his first year of competition is joined by a teammate playing just his second year of high school basketball as the Blue Mountain Conference’s All-League honors were released.
Two Enterprise players were named to the conference honorees after voting by the coaches was complete.

The coaches placed Outlaw sophomore Kason Mitchell on the second team. He was joined by Enterprise freshman Isaac Bedard on the honorable mention listing. Bedard was the lone freshman among the all-league nominees.
First team honorees included Landon Mitchell and Caden George of Heppner, Pablo Arellano and Landon Bailey of Stanfield, Anthony Nix of Weston-McEwen) and Sheldon Lenz and Talon Van Cleave of Grant Union.
Joining Mitchell on the second team were Michael Odell of Stanfield, Baryn Huerta of Grant Union and Dylan Monaco and Easton Berry, both from Weston-McEwen.
Winning honorable mention status along with Bedard were Kaiden Hussey of Irrigon, Connor Logan and James Patterson from Stanfield, Mason Orem and Cameron Proudfoot from Heppner and Ryland Beil from Grant Union.
