The berth in the championship game comes after the Outlaws defeated Weston-McEwen, 47-33, on Friday, Feb. 16.
“The girls are in a good place right now,” said Enterprise coach Dan Butterfield.
The Outlaws’ third game against Weston-McEwen turned out to be the charm; the TigerScots had beaten Enterprise in their first two meetings, a 41-40 victory on Jan. 29 followed by a 48-43 win on Feb. 9, the final game of the regular season before the conference tournament.
Alex Rowley came through big for the Outlaws, scoring 19 points, including 10 in the second quarter. Navaeh James added 15 points in the victory. Tessa Duncan finished the game with seven points.
Much like Weston-McEwen, Stanfield has taken two wins over Enterprise, both by close margins. The Tigers won the first meeting, 39-36, on Jan. 13 followed by a 36-31 victory on Feb. 3.
Win or lose in the championship game, the Outlaws’ season will continue: Their play at the tournament has automatically qualified Enterprise for the upcoming state 2A tournament.
