Monday basketball previews: Outlaws host TigerScots

The TigerScots of Weston-McEwen travel to the Enterprise Outlaws’ home gym for a pair of Monday night games. Here are previews of both games:

Weston-McEwen girls at Enterprise

When: 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29.

Records: Weston-McEwen, 17-4 overall, 4-2 2A Blue Mountain Conference; Enterprise, 13-6 overall, 6-0 2A Blue Mountain Conference.

OSAA rankings: Weston-McEwen is ranked No. 2. Enterprise is No. 14. 

The Weston-McEwen girls arrive in Enterprise after avenging an earlier season loss to Stanfield with a 47-40 victory over the Lady Tigers on Friday, Jan. 26. Like conference foes Stanfield, the TigerScots have also recorded a split with Heppner, winning Jan. 5 by a score of 48-45 and falling to the Lady Mustangs 54-44 on Jan. 25.

Enterprise continues to pound through the conference schedule without a loss and is in the home gym riding a six-game winning streak. The Lady Outlaws and Weston-McEwen will meet one additional time this season as Enterprise travels to the TigerScots’ gym for the final game of the regular season.

Weston-McEwen boys at Enterprise

When: 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29.

Records: Weston-McEwen, 7-13 overall, 2-4 2A Blue Mountain Conference; Enterprise, 13-6 overall, 3-3 2A Blue Mountain Conference.

OSAA rankings: Weston-McEwen is 23rd. Enterprise is No. 19.

The Weston-McEwen boys visit Enterprise looking to break a three-game losing skid in conference play. The TigerScots have been an up-and-down team, beating Heppner by 30 points on Jan. 5 and then falling to the Mustangs by 14 points on Jan. 25.

The Enterprise boys are back in the home gym after downing Grant Union on Friday, Jan. 27 in a 57-53 game. The Outlaws have won three games in a row and are tied with Grant Union for third in the conference standings.
