JOHN DAY — The Enterprise girls’ basketball team kicked off the 2A Blue Mountain Conference season with a road win in John Day, easily taking care of Grant Union, 54-20.

The Outlaws started the game with a 19-point first quarter and added 13 points in the second to hold a comfortable halftime lead. With the bench going in midway in the second half, Enterprise had no problems with the Prospectors.

“I was proud of how hard the girls worked on defense and how we executed our offense tonight,” said Enterprise coach Dan Butterfield.

The Outlaws saw balanced scoring among the starters, led by Nevaeh James with 14 points. Tessa Duncan followed with 13 points and Alex Rowley ended her night with 12 points.
