Basketball previews: Outlaws begin league play Friday at Grant Union

The Enterprise boys and girls teams open league play with a pair of Friday games at Grant Union. Here are previews of both matches:

OSAA rankings: Enterprise is ranked 15th. Grant Union carries a No. 9 ranking.
The Enterprise boys begin the 2A Blue Mountain Conference season on the road versus the Prospectors of Grant Union.
Enterprise started the basketball season off with seven straight wins. The three losses came in games versus highly rated 1A teams with two of the losses coming at the hands of Imbler.
Grant Union hosts Enterprise after a Wednesday loss to 3A Burns, a game that saw a four-game win streak come to an end. The game marked the second time this season the Prospectors have lost to the Hilanders.

Records: Enterprise, 7-6 overall; Grant Union, 1-11 overall.
OSAA rankings: Enterprise is ranked 15th. Grant Union is ranked 29th.
The Outlaw girls go on the road to start the conference season and also looking to get back to winning after dropping the squad’s last three games, all contests versus 1A teams.
To date, the season has been streaky with a four-win streak and now a three-game skid.
Enterprise’s opponent has not won since Dec. 2 versus Griswold. Grant Union has struggled this year, dropping its last 10 games and not scoring over 20 points in eight of those 10 losses.
