Wrestling: Outlaws finish ninth at Rumble

BOARDMAN — Putting up 75 points, the Enterprise boys wrestling team placed ninth in the Rumble on the River held at Riverside High School in Boardman on Friday, Dec. 21.
Five Outlaws finished third in their weight classes.

Barrett Bronson finished his day 3-1 at 106 pounds, taking third place with a pin over Irrigon’s Jakson Coffman by pin.
At 113 pounds, James Royes also finished 3-1 and grabbed third place with a pin over Irrigon’s Brody Parrish.
Luke Patterson finished the meet with a 3-1 mark at 120 pounds, pinning Vernonia’s Brody Campo in his final match at the 2:44 mark.
Wrestling at 150 pounds, Pearce Schnetzky overwhelmed Echo’s Wyatt Harris in the battle for third, taking an 18-2 technical fall victory at the four-minute mark.
Winning by pin with the clock reading 2:32, Ashtyn Irwin grabbed third in the 165-pound class, beating Heppner’s Conner Wilson.
Enterprise will have a few days off for the holiday break before taking the mat versus teams from Union County on Wednesday, Dec. 27 on the home mats of Enterprise High School.

Eaves takes third at RumbleBOARDMAN — Kaylee Eaves was the lone representative for the Enterprise girls wrestling team, taking the mat at the Rumble on the River on Friday, Dec. 21 at Riverside High School in Boardman.
Eaves fell by pin in the opening round of the 110-pound division, bouncing back in round two with a pin over Union’s McKennah Dempsey at the 3 minute, 11 second mark of the match. Round three saw Eaves lose by pin to Willamina’s Zoe Brewer for a third-place showing.
Eaves’ performance gave Enterprise a 10th-place finish in the team standings.
Enterprise will next travel to St. Maries, Idaho on Friday, Dec. 29 to compete in the Chad E. Ross Girls Tourney.
