Wallowa boys struggle at Nixyaawii

NIXYAAWII — The final game for the Wallowa boys basketball team was much closer but the result was the same as the Cougars ended two days of action at the Bouncin Cancer Tournament with a loss on Saturday, Dec. 16 in the Nixyaawii gym.

After seeing a 57-point loss to host Nixyaawii on Friday, the Cougars lost a heartbreaker to Pilot Rock on the final day, seeing the Rockets win, 51-48.

Wallowa (1-8 overall) returns to the home gym on Thursday, Dec. 21 for a nonleague game versus Elgin (2-6 overall) with an 8 p.m. tipoff.
