Volleyball: Three Eagles, one Cougar win league honors

WALLOWA COUNTY — The volleyball coaches representing the 1A Old Oregon League recently met, voted and released their choices for all-league volleyball, Ladd division.
Due to the size of the Old Oregon League, teams are divided into the Ladd and Meacham divisions.

Joseph seniors Aimee Meyers and Cooper Nave lead the list of local players earning first-team honors.
The lone Cougar on the listing is Wallowa senior Zoe Hermans, picking up second-team honors. Also chosen for second team is Joseph senior Abby Orr.
As a team, Wallowa shared the Sportsmanship Award with the Imbler Panthers as voted by the league’s coaches.
Powder Valley’s Jaycee Anderson was named Player of the Year and the Coach of the Year was a shared honor between Cove’s Chantelle Burgess and Imbler’s Jenifer Teeter.

Second Team: Jayda Cant (Imbler); Marli Lind (Powder Valley); Reegan O’Rourke (Cove); Ayla Bingham (Powder Valley); Zoe Hermans (Wallowa); Abby Orr (Joseph).
