Outlaws draw recognition from OSAA

ENTERPRISE — The seventh week of the high school football season saw local players putting up numbers that were among the top in the state, the Oregon School Activities Association said.
Enterprise junior Tyler Knapp threw for 269 yards in the Outlaw’s 66-24 win over Powder Valley on Friday, Oct. 13. The yardage ties Knapp with Lowell’s Carter Harris for eighth highest passing yards in the state for the week.

Knapp also made the OSAA’s listing for his four touchdown passes, placing him 10th on the week’s list. For the season to date, Knapp has 19 touchdown passes.
When Enterprise was not passing in the game, the team was running the ball, and junior Ashtyn Irwin’s 192 yards rushing places him ninth in the state for the week. Irwin found the end zone on three occasions, placing him eighth on the state listing.
A majority of Knapp’s passes went to senior Trey Stewart in the victory over the Badgers. Stewart put up 132 yards receiving, 11th best in the state.
The Outlaw defense was also recognized for week seven with senior Tegan Evans recording 10 tackles, placing him 11th in the state.
