Austin Humphries and the Eagles moved up to third in the latest 1A 6-man coaches’ poll.

WILSONVILLE — A victory on the road over the Harper Charter Hornets on Oct. 6 propelled the Joseph football team upward in the latest 1A coaches’ poll, released by the Oregon School Activities Association on Thursday, Oct. 13.

Joseph (4-0 in league and 5-1 overall) now sits third in the coaches’ voting, up from fifth last week before the 22-19 win at Harper.

The Eagles are now only behind two undefeated teams, Powers (6-0) in second and 5-0 Prairie City/Burnt River at the top of the poll.

The loss to Joseph pushed the Hornets down to sixth in the poll from their previous third-place showing.

Joseph plays winless Huntington at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13 at Joseph High School.
