Football: Eagles open district play with win

PINE EAGLE — The Joseph football squad is off to a good start in the 1A 6-Man Special District 1 ranks after a 42-13 victory over Pine Eagle on Friday, Sept. 15 at the Spartans’ field.

Tackling the second of three straight road games, the Eagles dominated the Spartans from the opening kickoff.

Coach Damian Huff and the Eagles (2-1 overall, 1-0 1A 6-Man Special District 1) will continue with a bus ride on Friday, Sept. 22, this time traveling the short distance to Wallowa to meet the Cougars (1-2 overall, 1-1 1A 6-Man Special District 1).
