Eagles open football season with a big win

JOSEPH — The Joseph football team opened the six-man football season with a big win, rolling over the Echo Cougars 52-28 on the Eagles’ home field on Friday, Sept. 1.

The game marks the second consecutive year the Eagles have opened the year with a win over Echo.

Joseph (1-0 overall) continues in nonleague action on Friday, Sept. 8 with a trip to Prairie City to take on the Panthers of Prairie City/Burnt River (1-0 overall).

The Panthers opened their season with a 44-0 victory over Wallowa. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
