Letter: Stormy Sunday scatters recycling
Published 6:00 am Wednesday, August 30, 2023
It was a dark and stormy Sunday, with thunderclouds over the mountains and downdrafts likely. And you know what happens to loose items during a windy storm! It scatters everywhere, including the neighbors’ yards as well as (you guessed it!) all over the recycling area in Enterprise.
While there are some volunteer folks who periodically help the recycling center stayed picked up, there’s something all of us can do: If the recycling sections are full, we can come back the next day or midweek so the cardboard doesn’t get wind-flung to the neighbors. Or we can just plot a drop-off midweek!
By all means, use what space is available whenever you come. But be a champ! If there’s not room in the building for some of your stuff, bring it back. There should be a yawning maw — especially for cardboard! — quite soon.
What recycles around comes around!
