ENTERPRISE — The Woodlands & Watershed Festival returns to the Wallowa County Fairgrounds in Enterprise on Friday, June 30.
The event, now in its 19th year, is sponsored by Wallowa Resources and the Maxville Heritage Interpretive Center, along with new partners the Wallowa Valley Music Alliance and the Nez Perce Tribe.
The festival, set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature about three dozen local and regional organizations that will offer hands-on activities for the whole family. It includes a free hot dog lunch for kids, live blacksmith demonstrations, art activities, a scavenger hunt, and live music from local artists, including Buffalo Kin, Robyn Burns, Amy Fairchild, and the Nez Perce drumming group Lightning Creek.
The Maxville Heritage and Interpretive Center will also be cooking Dutch oven pork and chicken hot plates for purchase.
The event is free and provides an opportunity for the community to recognize and celebrate the organizations tending to this region.
The fairgrounds is at 668 NW. First St. in Enterprise.
