EUGENE — The bus returning to Enterprise from the 2A state track and field meet is a little heavier as numerous Outlaws possess hardware from the recently completed competition.

Leading the Enterprise/Wallowa girls to a third-place team finish was freshman Owyhee Harguess, complete with two championship medals around her neck. Taking part in her first state meet, Harguess was first across the line in the 2A 400 meters, hitting the line in 57.79 seconds.

She added a second championship after teaming with freshman McKenzie Harguess, sophomore Nevaeh James and senior Maddie Nordtvedt for a win in the 4-by-400 relay with a time of 4 minutes, 13.02 seconds.

For her third medal, Owyhee Harguess added a second-place showing in the 800 meters.

James also added to her medal count, placing second in the 300-meter hurdles and fourth in the 200 meters.

The Outlaw boys finished the meet in seventh with 37 points.

Senior Lute Ramsden placed an exclamation point on his high school career with a championship in the 400 meters, setting a personal-best time of 51.07 seconds.

Ramsden joined with fellow senior Weston Wolfe, junior Ransom Peters and sophomore Andrew Nordtvedt for a championship run in the 4-by-400 meters, the final event of the meet.

Senior Weston Wolfe claimed a second-place medal in the  300-meter hurdles.
