Eagles take two Special District 3 victories

JOSEPH — The Eagles baseball team of Joseph/Enterprise/Wallowa upped its 3A Special District 3 record to 5-1 with a pair of wins over the visiting McLoughlin Pioneers on Friday, April 21 in Joseph.

Game one saw the Eagles and Pioneers slug it out to the very end with Joseph/Enterprise/Wallowa eking out a 9-8 victory.

Game two was a little easier for the Eagles as they downed McLoughlin 9-2.

The league schedule continues for Joseph/Enterprise/Wallowa (10-5 overall, 5-1 district) on Friday, April 28 with a trip to Riverside for two games with the Pirates (1-10 overall, 0-3 3A Special District 3).

The Eagles sit on the top of the district standings and hold down eighth in the current OSAA rankings.
