Congress is now suggesting we cannot support Ukraine forever. That suggests we need to help them victoriously finish this conflict as quickly as possible. The best way to do that is to give Ukraine everything it wants, short of nuclear, chemical or biological weapons. Also, we eventually will have to help Ukraine build its military up to the point where it can defend themselves and NATO, post-conflict.

I would suggest we need to begin the process of providing Ukraine with modern military aircraft. The country will eventually have to get that done and now would be the right time to begin training pilots and maintenance personnel for planes such as F-16s and Tornados. A few A-10s would really be helpful, along with some Apache attack helicopters. F-16s should become available as they are replaced with F-35s.

A shorter war also means many fewer casualties, especially for Russia.
