JOSEPH — With summer starting, the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture is giving the public a chance to have its art displayed in various ways at the center.
First, the center’s looking for pieces which embody and celebrate the wild landscapes of Imnaha as a part of its Wild Landscapes Exhibit. The art can be of any medium, but it must display the landscapes as the focal point. The deadline for entries is June 19 and cash prizes will be awarded.
Art works also are being accepted to display in the Wallowa Valley Festival of the Arts. The largest juried fine art exhibit is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and looking for a reflection of the beauty, culture and art of the region. It will be accepting various categories of work such as paintings, photos, sculptures, etc. Artists who have work accepted will be given a complimentary ticket to the festival, and must submit the work before July 31.
