Wallowa Schools to replace superintendent

WALLOWA — The retirement/resignation of Wallowa School Superintendent Tammy Jones tops the agenda for an emergency board meeting to be held Tuesday, March 1, by the Wallowa School Board.
The meeting will be at 5 p.m. in the elementary school library, according to the district’s website.

Also on tonight’s agenda is to begin the search process for a replacement for Jones.
The board also will formally vote on the most recent guidance on face masks handed down by the Oregon Health Authority. Earlier this week, the OHA and Gov. Kate Brown announced masks would no longer be required beginning March 11 and local control would be allowed.
